Stay by the Sea at Fairwind Maine

  • About the Area

    Welcome to Vacationland!

New Harbor is a quaint village at the end of the Bristol Peninsula, in Midcoast Maine. To reach us, you’ll need to find downtown Damariscotta, and take rte 130 all the way here.

This area is known for it’s abundance of oysters, and Damariscotta has rightfully been titled the “Oyster Capital of New England!”

Pemaquid Beach is one of the only white sand beaches in the entire state of Maine! It’s a family friendly beach, that’s impeccably taken care of, and dog friendly in the off-season. While they do provide free parking, the entrance fee is $5 for non-locals to benefit our parks and recreation department.

Once a year in early August the town celebrates Olde Bristol Days, with a parade going right past the front door. Fireworks, car shows, craft markets and annual lobster boat races!

And in October, Damariscotta puts on an incredible pumpkin festival! Ever heard of a pumpkin boat race regatta? Well you have now.
