When The Last Guest Has Left

May 23 - June 22, 2025 | Mark Little, Tom Hubbard, Carter Wentworth

I took the title, ‘When the Last Guest has Left’ from painter, Mark Little. The phrase evokes a nearly indescribable, yet familiar feeling after playing host—whether for a gathering, a dinner party, a holiday, etc.—a sense of contentment, wonder, and exhaustion. The exhibition balances on this exact atmosphere; of sharp silence after the final dish collapses into the sink; the hollow drip from a shared bottle reaching it’s end; and the warm ache in the soles of your feet from forgetting to sit, until this moment, when you can finally relax; when the last guest has left.

Featuring mixed-media works by Little, which range in size, shape, texture and material. With ceramics, wood-fired by Tom Hubbard. And select paintings, not often seen, by Carter Wentworth. Coming together to create an undoubtable sense of chaotic-calm, almost as if they were the guests, and their energies, stories and conversations we’re left behind.

The Earth is Also

June 27 - August 17, 2025 | Calvin Hubbard, Carter Wentworth, Susan Homer, Tom Hubbard

"The Earth is beautiful, and bright, and kindly, but that is not all. The Earth is also terrible, and dark, and cruel." —Ursula K Le Guin

In debt to and in appreciate of nature, the works in this show examine our interaction as beings with the world we live in, and often neglect.

Looking Seeing Searching
